CUSTOMER SUCCESS STORIES
HABUFA, one of Europe’s major furniture manufacturers, wanted to help its dealer network sell more by removing customer hesitation during the furniture buying process. With four brands, more than 2,000 product ranges and over 400 stores across seven countries, HABUFA needed a scalable, connected solution that could support both online and in-store sales.
We delivered a browser-based 3D room planner connected to the same database as the visual product configurator. This allows product models, fabrics, materials, options, prices and configuration rules to be managed centrally and used across B2C brand websites, dealer stores and embedded dealer websites. Everything available in the configurator can also be used in the room planner, and vice versa.
The solution enables consumers and sales teams to create digital living spaces, place HABUFA furniture inside them, configure products in 3D and render complete interiors in photorealistic quality up to 4K — without requiring heavy in-store hardware. Users also receive detailed pricing information and can generate quotes for all HABUFA items in a project.
The commercial impact was significant. After a phased rollout to around 400 stores, several dealers reported conversion rates of 80% to 90% and average order value increases of up to 50%. Order mistakes and communication errors dropped to near zero, while dealers began allocating more showroom space to HABUFA collections. After-sales cases also decreased because customer expectations were better aligned with the final purchase.

HABUFA needed a scalable way to make its large, dynamic and highly configurable furniture collections easier to understand, visualize and sell. With more than 2,000 products across four brands, many available in hundreds of fabrics, leathers and variants, the goal was to support consumers, dealers and internal product teams with one connected configuration platform.
We developed a 3D product configurator that combines visualization, product data, material logic, pricing, configuration rules and commercial processes. The configurator runs on the same software foundation and central database as the iONE360 room planner, so 3D models, materials, options and rules only need to be created and maintained once. Everything available in the configurator can also be used in the room planner, and vice versa.
The solution is used on HABUFA’s B2C brand websites, by dealers in stores and as an embedded solution on dealer websites. It supports four languages, regional collections, recommended retail pricing, bill of material logic and AR for selected product groups.
After years of stable operation and continuous SaaS improvements, the platform has proven its scalability. HABUFA’s collections and materials have changed multiple times, yet the configurator has remained efficient, cost-effective and easy to keep up to date. Consumers can now visualize products in their preferred variant, while dealers gain a stronger sales tool and HABUFA strengthens its competitive position with a digital experience many competitors still cannot match.
Sometimes a fortunate unexpected discovery is made. In case of Richmond interiors serendipity occurred when striving to help consumers make better buying decisions, increasing conversion rates of customizable furniture and lowering the number of returns by implementing Augmented Reality as a means to visualize furniture. It turned out that this innovative Augmented Reality tool was not only very useful online, but in the brick-and-mortar world as well…

With more than a thousand models between the brands Xooon and Henders & Hazel, these market leaders needed a scalable solution to visualize and configure upholstery furniture, storage, tables and accessories to put them in pole position for the metaverse era.
Van de Sant designs and produces high-end design furniture, 100% made of waste and recycled materials. Despite the large number of visitors on the site, conversion rates remained disappointing. How do you promote such a product in a sustainable manner? And even more so, how do you inspire your online customers to actually convert? The iONE360 3D product configurator offered all Van de Sant was looking for. And more.
